Dr. Sterlin Mosley is a lecturer in the department of Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Mosley earned his Bachelor’s degree in English Composition and his Master’s degree in Human Relations before finishing a Ph.D in Communication all from the University of Oklahoma in 2015. Dr. Mosley’s master’s research focused on personality theories and human relations counseling. His doctoral and ongoing research focuses on theorizing alternative, culturally inclusive and holistic models and pedagogies of human communication from the perspective of marginalized identities.
Before beginning his appointment in the Human Relations department Dr. Mosley taught extensively in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Oklahoma where he taught various courses on gender communication, masculinities, queer theory and women’s studies. Dr. Mosley was raised in Norman, OK and enjoys traveling, ballet, reading and cooking.
