"I received my MHR degree in 1996 from the OU Overseas Division in Germany. I retired after 21 years of active duty service in the U.S. Army.
Currently, I am the Dean of Instruction at the Eastlake, Ohio Campus of Bryant & Stratton College headquartered in Buffalo NY. I have been with the College for 15 years. I started with Bryant & Stratton College in 2001 as an adjunct Human Relations faculty member -the only adjunct in the entire College with an actual Master’s Degree in Human Relations! Since then I have held the positions of full-time faculty member, Program Director, Associate Dean of Instruction and have been the Dean of Instruction since 2010.
Additionally, I am the Ohio Market Dean of Instruction for the College, supporting three additional Bryant & Stratton College campuses in Ohio. I also serve as a member of the Bryant & Stratton Institutional Leadership Council which is tasked to facilitate communication concerning Academic policy and curriculum issues between the campuses and the Senior Leadership of the College.
In 2012, I won the Bryant Stratton College Kevin Hoverstad award for exceptional service to the College.
I can honestly state that the theoretical underpinnings of my University of Oklahoma HR degree laid the foundation for many of the core values that have led to my success as an Academic Administrator. I can’t overstate the importance of understanding, recognizing and developing the role of diversity of individuals and cultures as a key component in establishing a successful and positive learning and working environment – this has been a constant thread in my academic career. The classes that had the most dynamic impact in helping me be successful were: Group Dynamics, Organizational Development and Creative Problem Solving. While I have honed the skills learned in those classes over time, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t utilize them in one way or another."
