Clinical Mental Health Counseling Concentration

Human Relations is now offering a new 60 credit hour Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) emphasis for master students seeking the Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC) certification for the State of Oklahoma. If you have not graduated with your MHR you may switch your program to the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) emphasis; however, you will need to meet the requirements for that Program of Study. Please refer to the FAQ’s. The LPC guidelines state all students will have to be enrolled in the 60 credit hour program as of July 31, 2018. Until that time, the previously board approved MHR / LPC courses will count; however, after July 31, 2018 all students will have to meet the 2018 board approved curriculum.

The academic advisors for the CMHC are Dr. Katie Allen ( for main campus and Advanced Programs and Dr. Chad Johnson ( for Tulsa campus.
