Anthony P. Natale, MSW, PhD is Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work. He joined the faculty in 2005. Dr. Natale was the Graduate Coordinator in Social Work for 6 years and Assistant Director for 3.5 years. He is currently serving as the Faculty Fellow for Inclusive Excellence in the Graduate College, overseeing diversity and inclusion programs for graduate students. He is a graduate of the PhD program of the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work (2005) and he has a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University (1999).
Dr. Natale’s teaching interests include human service administration, social policy, lifespan development, and human diversity and oppression. He has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research interests focus broadly on health disparities with a particular interest in HIV/AIDS prevention, and trauma’s impacts on health outcomes. He also makes contributions to social work education in the form of pedagogical advancements.
Dr. Natale teaches a number of Human Relations courses including: Introduction to Graduate Studies in Human Relations, Modern Social Problems, Human Diversity in Human Relations and Counseling Issues in Human Sexuality
